Okay Volvo, this Lounge Console really needs to go from concept to reality. Unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show, the idea is to take an XC90, remove the front passenger seat and replace it with a console made specifically with the comfort, utility, and let’s face it, baller status, of the person riding in the rear passenger side. Volvo claims to have done ‘ethnographic’ research (read: polled a bunch of super wealthy customers) to find out what they need. Surprise, the answer was a big workspace, storage tray for jewelry, etc., and a vanity for doing makeup. Of course, there is the mandatory and probably most often used entertainment center that folds out with a 17″ media screen for a “full in-car theater experience. Enough, just take my money, I know it will be at least all of it.
