Patagonia is creeping on Carhartt’s territory with their new line of workwear. It’s made from hemp blends that they claim are 25% more abrasion resistant than cotton duck canvas. The hemp is more environmentally friendly to produce as well (c’mon it’s Patagonia afterall). It improves soil health and is grown without pesticides. The 18% that is cotton is at least organic. Like good work wear, it needs to be broken in a bit to soften up. Don’t like that? You probably weren’t planning on doing any real work in them then. The line launches with jackets, coats, pants and shirts, and is available right now. Finally, something that isn’t a pre-order, am I right? Prices range from $80 to $200.
