It’s about time we get Marty McFly’s auto-lacing shoes from Back to the Future II. Nike has stepped their smart shoe game up by announcing the Hyperadapt 1.0. It has some electronic brains in the arch that sense when you put your foot it. Then is auto-adjusts the laces to perfectly fit your foot. There will be a button to tighten and loosen if you disagree with the auto-fit or just want to make minor adjustments on the go. The brains in the sole glow, which I’m not into, but if you have a kid under 5yrs old, they’ll be stoked. Seriously thought, this is a major step forward in footwear – pun intended. They’ll only be available to Nike+ members at the end of the year and no word on pricing yet. Check out the video below for a brief look at the shoe in action.
