Every now and then a new game comes along that is simple, fun, and great for parties. Mr. Pip’s is one of those games. Each player gets five dice that they roll then cover up. Once everyone sees their hand, the betting begins. You bet on how many of a number is among the collective dice. Someone starts it off, then each player goes, in turn, upping the bet (i.e. 4 instead of 3 twos) or upping the number being bet on until someone calls the bluff and we see what’s there. Whoever was wrong loses a die. You keep going until the last one with dice wins. It’s fast-paced and full of shouting, which makes it perfect for parties. You can pick it up for $35.
