This gorgeous Earth Table was created by Renzo Piano, a world renowned Italian architect and engineer who is behind buildings such as the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, the Shard in London and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City. Now he has deigned something much smaller for Riva 1920 – a unique table that represents the world. The table is made of resign with pieces of millennial Kauri wood “floating” to represent the continents. The design gives off a really cool shadow that is sure to get your guests talking. This table is just so perfect that I can’t imagine actually putting anything on it but for the price I assume you’re going to pay, you will want to put it to good use. Functional art this great by a top notch designer doesn’t come cheap so expect to spend double digit thousands.
