Hell yes, I love this DIY mini boat kit from Rapid Whale. For $950, you can order a complete kit of laser cut marine grade plywood parts, various 3D printed components, steering wheel, steering shaft bearings, and various gaskets to build your very own mini boat. It actually moves pretty quickly when in the water and appears to be fairly stable once you’re in it. Fair warning, you’re looking at $500 to $1,100 in additional expenses for things like epoxy, screws, motor, batteries, etc. to actually complete it, but as you can see in their video, you end up with a boat that can actually fit in a Nissan Leaf. Overall dimensions are 6 ft. long by almost 3 ft. wide and 2 ft. tall.
