Call of Duty WWII is slated to release on November 3rd and it looks pretty good. I wish I could say more than that right now. I mean, I’m going to buy it and you probably will too, but the trailer doesn’t get me too jazzed. In fact, I’m not sure if I’m more excited for it to rewind to WWII in general and away from the far-fetched futuristic fighting they’ve been releasing or for this actual game. It looks like we’ll be playing as only American soldiers against only German soldiers, but that’s speculation at this point. There will definitely be multiplayer and single-player as well as nazi zombies. Cool. That was in the previous versions. What’s new? Not sure. I’m afraid that after the amazing Battlefield 1, that got as real as possible and truly honored the many different soldiers that fought over half the world, Call of Duty WWII might come off as not as “authentic” or “visceral” as the development team keeps saying it will. How many times have we followed a new guy from Texas under a couple of hard-edged vets? I hope I’m surprised and this game is amazing. I know I’ll play it either way though.
