James Cameron’s next project is a bit of a departure from his usual work. It’s based on the popular Japanese manga Gunnm, and it’s called Alita: Battle Angel. In true James Cameron style (along with Robert Rodriguez and Jon Landau) it’s another leap forward in moviemaking the way they have integrated the CGI with live action. The general concept is a doctor finds a busted up cyborg and gets her back on her feet. From there, the movie follows her searching out the truth of her past. It’s guaranteed to be a visual masterpiece and is due out in theaters on July 20, 2018.
