Peak to Plateau is out with a line of baselayers that are made from yak wool. That’s right, yak wool. Apparently Yak wool is warmer, softer and more breathable than merino wool. This line of three products includes the Kailash 1/4 zip, Nomad Crew and Namtso t-shirt. The tops are made from 65% yak wool and 35% Tencel. The shirts are designed with raglan sleeves for full range of motion, thumb holes to keep your hands warm, offset seams away from rubbing points to reduce chafe (thank you!) and an extended torso so it doesn’t ride up and freeze your midsection. The New Zealand-based company is taking pledges on their kickstarter where $64 USD gets you the t-shirt. It goes up from there for the other shirts, multiples and add-ons.
