The SHEL Hammock Shelter is a set up that consists of a sleeping bag, pad, tarp, under quilt and bug net. Combined, you get a shelter for your hammock that will give you that quality rest you need while out on your adventures. The design allows you to have the extra space you need overhead so you can first of all not feel trapped in but also still enjoy the little things like reading or watching a storm from a dry place. There are gear loops inside so you can have your stuff nearby or even hang a light to read. The set up is easy and well thought out. The ends have cinch cords to keep the bugs and water out, something the air vents and zipper windows do as well. Open to the outside to see and control temperature while still keeping to yourself. The pad traps body heat to keep you warm, along with the goose down and heat reflective lining. The SHEL packs down to a 1.9L bag and weighs only 20 oz. If you already have a hammock you can pledge $119 to get the SHEL, the tension line and 2 caribiners. Or you can pledge $179 to get those things plus a double hammock and 2 tree straps with 2 more caribiners. The project has already reached its funding goal so start planning your first adventure for 2018.
