I really like the Helio Solar Light. There are a bunch of lanterns, flashlights, solar lights, and other illumination options out there, but the Helio is a great little device that can be used as a lantern with the large flat light, as a flashlight with the front light and even save your night vision with the red option. The solar panel can charge the light or provide power for your devices. With a full charge on the low setting, it can run for up to 700 hours! It has a handy stand with a hole in it that lets you set it on a table to shed light on the card game, hang it on a branch, or even mount it somewhere you know it will get light during the day to give it back to you when the sun goes down. All of that is more than enough reason to back this project, but they’ve sweetened the pot by donating 100% of profits to organizations that provide light and power to those with limited access to electricity. Awesome. You can back their kickstarter for $49 (if you’re quick) for early bird backers or $52 if those sell out before you get there.
