Firebiner

When useful tools are combined in a clever way, I get happy. One less thing to carry. One less thing to worry about. Especially when it’s something so simple and taken for granted like a fire starter. I use a lot of carabiners, none of which are for climbing. My kid has one on her backpack to clip emoji stuffed toys to. I have one to clip water bottles to my bike (among several other uses). They are just so useful, as are firestarters. Maybe not for school but a long bike ride could easily call for a fire and guess what – now I have one at all times. By now you’ve picked up on the hint that I really like this¬†Firebiner – it has a Spark Wheel so you’re always ready to get the flames going when needed. But wait, there’s more! It also has a screwdriver tip, bottle opener and inset utility blade. Altogether the¬†Firebiner is easily among my top 5 favorite EDC items. It’s strong, useful and cheap. $15 cheap. You’ll want to get several so you can always one handy while riding your bike, driving, camping, snowboarding, volunteering in South Africa…

Get it.
