I don’t want to take away from how amazing this wine probably tastes but it’s definitely something I would buy just for the uniqueness of the bottle. There’s not much change in the way wine bottles are made so it’s fun to see new things like this on the market. It’s a creation born from Stratus Vineyards and Global Industrial Designer Karim Rashid to follow the line, “form followed by function.” If you can force yourself to open and drink the bottle, you can expect a full-bodied and complex wine. It was naturally fermented and aged on its lees in barrel, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. It has hints of raspberry jam, tobacco and oak derived toastiness. There was only 11o cases made so if you want to try this wine, you need to move fast. $95 is a fair price.
